- "All living things die sooner or later, it's the natural way."
Mortality is the state of being mortal, thus meaning that one is susceptible to eventual death. Those who are mortal are susceptible to the effects of aging and disease. It also makes them vulnerable to death through natural, human causes.
Werewolves are, despite their incredible strength and durability, still mortal and will age and eventually die like ordinary humans. Witches and Warlocks are mortal and just as susceptible to death like ordinary humans, although they can extend their lifespan though supernatural means. Succubi and Incubi can also extend their lifespan and preserve their youth by feeding off their victims. However, they are still susceptible to the effects of aging and cannot prolong their lifespan indefinitely.
- Immortal beings can potentially live forever. However, this does not mean they cannot be killed through external forces. When an immortal possesses the same weaknesses as ordinary mortals, this is also referred to as mortality.
